Billy Reiner

Half salesman, half engineer.

I learned selling before I ever touched software: three years face to face, then an engineering degree and a long stretch inside SAP and ERP systems. Since then I have mostly built for myself. A few of those businesses got sold along the way. NorthEra and ConnectEra are the two I run today.

  • 1,000+ Websites shipped
  • $2M+ Revenue at NorthEra
  • 25 People at peak
  • 6-figure Dating network exit

My Clients

Founder-led service firms we've rebuilt.

The route

How I got here.

Not a straight line. Sales first, engineering second, and everything after that was mine to build.

  1. Sales, before anything else

Straight out of school I took a three-year apprenticeship at a large retail company. I wanted to learn to sell properly, from people who did it every day. It is still the skill everything else sits on.

  2. Then the engineering

Selling on its own was not enough, so I studied business information systems and software engineering, and went to work for SAP in Germany.

  3. Asia, and the back end

I moved to Southeast Asia and worked as an ERP specialist for an Austrian company. Years spent inside the systems companies actually run on, rather than the ones they show customers.

  4. My own, finally

I always wanted my own business and tried a long list of things that went nowhere. Websites stuck. That became NorthEra, which grew to 25 people and passed two million dollars in revenue.

  5. Build, grow, sell

Along the way I built a service company from the ground up, grew it, and sold it; it is still running today. I grew a dating network and sold it. Smaller sites and digital assets in between, some kept, most sold.

  6. Now: AI across the whole funnel

I founded ConnectEra this year to put AI where it actually pays — getting service businesses found, and turning that attention into revenue. My own days go into SEO, new technology, and the next thing worth building.

The work

What people call me about.

Almost always the same question in different words: how do I get clients online, and how do I keep them.

Organic traffic

SEO, and now AI search. Being found by the systems people actually ask.

Conversion

Turning attention into revenue. The offer, the page, the follow-up, and the numbers underneath them.

Systems and automation

The back end that lets a business grow without the founder standing in the middle of every step. I have built these systems for many service businesses over the years; my own companies run on them too.

Selling

Trained, not improvised. Building the offer and closing it have always been the same job to me.

Building and selling assets

I build sites and online businesses, grow them, and sell them. I know what a buyer looks at, because I have been one.

The whole funnel

I am not specialised in one discipline. I have done every part of this myself, from zero, in more than one niche. That range is what people come for.

The companies

What I run today.

Two companies, both mine, doing different jobs.

NorthEra

Founder

A European design collective. High volume, high quality design work, delivered mostly through Fiverr. I founded it and own it; a COO runs the day to day.

ConnectEra

Founder

Founded this year. AI applied to the part that decides whether a service business grows: getting found, and converting what arrives. SEO, AI visibility, conversion optimisation. This is where my attention is now.

Before these

  • Built a service company from the ground up and sold it. Still running today.
  • Grew a dating network and sold it for six figures.
  • A run of smaller sites and digital assets, built up and traded.

Past ventures, listed for context. No current ownership or involvement.

The ask

What I am open to.

If any of this sounds like you, the form at the bottom reaches me directly.

Partnerships

People building something online who want to scale it. SEO, sales, or a venture we start together.

Buying and selling

If you are selling a website or an online business, I am a buyer. If you want to sell one, I have been on both sides of that table.

Investing

I put money into things close to what I already know: web, traffic, and the businesses that run on them.

Business owners

If you want organic traffic and automation working inside your business, that is what ConnectEra does and I am still close to the work.
